Pantalon chest from the Louis XV period – Solid cherry wood

Louis XV period commode, made of solid cherry wood, featuring three wide drawers with curved fronts. The fronts are adorned with sculpted relief mouldings forming sinuous frames, characteristic of the provincial Louis XV style. The sculpted feet with curved volutes and terminal scrolls testify to the regional craftsmanship of the 18th century. The interior dovetail joints confirm traditional period manufacturing. The metal handles with a greenish patina are added and not original. The piece shows general patinated wear, traces of wood-boring insects on the interior elements and feet, as well as scratches and signs of use on the top. Restorations are possible upon request by a specialised workshop. Dimensions: H. 83 cm – W. 180 cm – Weight: 80 kg. Delivery is possible at the buyer's expense.
