Napoleon III period secretary commode in mahogany and light wood. Opening at the front with four drawers at the bottom and a drop-down front concealing a writing space. The front is accentuated by wide moulded panels with dynamic decoration, enhanced by beautiful finely chiseled bronze keyholes. The slightly protruding uprights and the plinth base give the whole piece a sober and balanced appearance. The drop-down front reveals a refined interior in light wood (burl), consisting of small side drawers and a central niche. The writing surface is covered in leather (antique, with signs of use), providing a functional and elegant area. The fittings and opening mechanism are original. Beautiful deep patina, warm grain, and remarkable quality of execution. French work from the 19th century, in the style of Louis XIV / Regency. Dimensions: Height: 100 cm. Width: 127 cm.
