Pair of thonet armchairs

Pair of Thonet office armchairs in bent beech, circa 1910. The model with armrests is one of the most refined forms of the steam-bent wood technique: lightweight structure, continuous line from the armrests to the backrest, flared saber legs. The round seats in moulded plywood are pyro-engraved with a floral pattern characteristic of Thonet's early 20th-century production. Original label present. Uniform dark patina, in their original condition. Dimensions: H81 × D54 × W61 cm - seat height 47 cm. Materials: Bent beech, pyro-engraved moulded plywood.
