Italian Renaissance-style walnut library circa 1850

Italian library in Renaissance style made of walnut, circa 1850. Front opening with two panelled and glazed doors featuring fruit decorations in tondo with stylised frames. Glazed on three sides with acid-etched engraving, luxurious interior lining. Cornice with a gendarme hat design, decorated with carved shells, dog heads, foliage, and more. Sculpted panels topped with scrolls, resting on turned feet housed under an overhanging cornice. Has undergone careful and high-quality restoration regarding the patina and interior covering.
