An exceptional and rare 18th Century Dutch Bookcase, dating from the late 18th century, circa 1760–1780. This impressive cabinet combines elegance, craftsmanship, and practicality, making it a striking statement piece for both classic and modern interiors. Crafted with beautifully figured veneers, the cabinet features rich carved detailing throughout, including an elegant shaped crest, refined mouldings, and impressive cabriole legs ending in claw feet. A wonderful example of high-quality Dutch cabinetmaking from the period. The upper section is fitted with three shelves, each with plate rails, ideal for displaying porcelain, books, or decorative objects. The doors are currently glazed with glass panels, which were added later in life. This alteration was carried out professionally and sympathetically. Originally, cabinets of this type often featured wire mesh panels or solid wooden panels. The cabinet comes complete with key and is constructed in sections for easier transport and installation. Condition is good antique condition with signs of age and use consistent with its history. Please study the photographs carefully, as they form part of the description and clearly show areas of wear and age-related use. A rare opportunity to acquire an impressive and seldom-seen Dutch piece from the 18th century. Dimensions: Width: 150 cm. Depth: 40 cm. Height: 230 cm.
