Display cabinet with two doors – Empire period – Mahogany veneer, bronze fittings

Empire-style display cabinet, veneered in flame mahogany on a solid oak base. The two glass doors are framed with beaded gilt bronze mouldings and flanked by round columns with Corinthian capitals in chiselled gilt bronze. The upper frieze is adorned with an imperial eagle with outstretched wings in a central position, accompanied by foliage scrolls and classical female figures at the corners of the cornice. The plinth features a garland of laurel in gilt bronze; the lock entries, in pierced bronze, complete the bronze details. The interior in natural oak houses four adjustable shelves with a depth of 29.5 cm, in impeccable condition. The piece has been fully restored with traditional French polish.
