Danish daybed in teak and fabric, mid-century Denmark 1960

A beautiful and refined Danish daybed crafted in teak and dating from the 1960s. The daybed features a particularly clean and minimal construction with a long rectangular teak frame supported by four slender tapered legs. The warm tone of the teak contrasts beautifully with the light fabric upholstery, emphasizing the understated Scandinavian character of the piece. A distinctive detail is the cylindrical neck pillow, executed in brown-coloured leather and secured around the mattress with matching leather straps. The mattress is finished with subtle button tufting, adding texture while maintaining the clean appearance of the design.
