Beautiful lamp "the French glass" Art Nouveau

Le Verre Français is the brand created in the 1920s by Charles Schneider in Épinal, Lorraine. Trained at Daum in Nancy from 1905, Schneider first mastered the techniques of the École de Nancy (he even took on glassmakers from Gallé after 1918). However, he quickly imposed his own style: vibrant colours, warmer and more accessible marbles, and a style that extends Art Nouveau while gently sliding towards Art Deco. This 57 cm lamp is a perfect example of this transitional period: the orange/red glass paste seems to still vibrate with the heat of the furnace, and the bronze is generously chiseled with floral motifs. We are still in the spirit of Art Nouveau, but with that little modern and generous touch that marks Schneider. A lovely piece of Lorraine poetry, both elegant and warm. In detail: • Beautiful tulip (10 cm wide × 11 cm high) in orange/amber/burgundy marbled glass, signed "Le Verre Français". Very nice colour, two tiny chips on the upper edge (invisible once mounted). • Base in chiseled bronze with a beautiful decoration of acanthus leaves, flowers, and scrolls. Irregular patina with traces of time (see photos). • Electrification is functional. • Total height 57 cm. Dimensions of the base: 16 cm x 17 cm. Tulip fixed by three screws (advice: do not tighten too much). Very nice warm and diffused light. Delivery with careful packaging.
