Art Nouveau torch lamp base in gilded bronze by Susse Frères & Robert.

Superb Art Nouveau lamp base (circa 1900) In gilded bronze, resulting from the prestigious collaboration between the sculptors Robert Frères and the famous art foundry Susse Frères Paris. Originally, it was a large table torch with typical Parisian naturalism from the 1900s, blending sinuous plant lines with rococo-inspired scrolls. Its chiselling is of remarkable finesse, and its original gilding is beautifully preserved. Authenticity is guaranteed by three perfectly visible period markings (see photos). The artist's signature is hand-engraved on the base (Robert Fes SCLP) Robert Frères sculptors. The publisher's signature is engraved on the bronze (SUSSE FES EDTS) Susse Frères publishers. The official guarantee stamp is cold-stamped on the base. The authentic circular stamp (Susse Frères publishers Paris) surrounds their coat of arms accompanied by the workshop letter D.
