Set of 6 mid-century glazed earthenware plates with fruits.

Set of 6 octagonal calotte plates in glazed earthenware with a fruit design, hand-decorated around 1940. Irresistible are the octagonal shape, the almost sandy texture, the cracked clay color, the delicately painted fruits, the shiny glaze, and the delightful sound—matte, powdery, and soft—that you can only imagine. 6 irresistible pieces signed Launay. Diameter 17.5 cm. Height 4 cm. Brilliant condition with no signs of use. Circa 1950.
