Oil on canvas of fine quality: pears and apples in a white dish and jug against a warm brown background. Signed at the bottom left "De Mazia". Attributed to Violette de Mazia (1896-1988), director of education at the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia and close collaborator of Albert Barnes. Wooden frame with gilded composition featuring acanthus leaf patterns, very flattering. Label from a framing workshop in Brest on the back, predating 1996. Dimensions with frame: 39 X 34 cm. The whole is in very good condition. Very decorative, it would fit perfectly in a kitchen.
