Antique cache-pot Gustave De Bruyn Fives-Lille - 19th century - Glazed ceramic

Glazed ceramic cache-pot produced by the Gustave De Bruyn factory in Fives-Lille (Northern France), active from the early 20th century until 1950, recognisable by its rich decorations inspired by the Renaissance. Body in deep blue glaze contrasted by a relief decoration in ochre, cream, and white, with an architectural frieze and sculpted side handles in stylised heads, pale green glazed interior. A beautiful decorative piece, ideal as a cache-pot or centrepiece. Condition: generally good condition with slight signs of use, small occasional losses of glaze on the reliefs and micro traces of time, without structural cracks. Dimensions: 24cm (height) X 29cm (diameter).
