Stunning mid-century modern murano sommerso catch-all by flavio poli for seguso (murano, italy, 1960s). Made of thick blue, yellow/orange and transparent glass. It is extremely decorative. Perfectly works as a catch-all, a vide poche, a small vase, an ashtray or just as a decorative object. Can be used as a display piece on any table. Dimensions: ø: 12.5 cm; height: 10 cm; length: 9 cm; width: 9 cm. Quite heavy (1.6 kg). Excellent vintage condition - some light usual scratches at the bottom. "sommerso" (italian for ''submerged'') is a technique developed in murano in the 1930s which became very popular in the 1950s-70s. The result is a glass with contrasting colours that is commonly cased by a clear layer.
