Mid-century Hollywood neoclassical brass and glass side or bedside tables attributed to Vereinigte Werkstätten, Germany, 1960s, set of 2.

Two mid-century side tables in a neoclassical style. Probably from the renowned manufacturer United Werkstätten, Munich (unfortunately not currently documented). The tables consist of a brass frame with a smoked glass tabletop. The frame forms a rectangular structure that surrounds the tabletop. The glass plate is inserted from below and secured with brackets. The design of the frame, well-known for Vereinigte Werkstätten, is striking. It is polished and features a brushed matte finish in the centre. There is subtle ornamentation resembling marquetry. The table legs are richly decorated in the neoclassical style. The legs are crossed just above the ground for better stability. The tables are in very good condition with signs of wear and patina.
