Rectangular Brass Coffee Table with Vintage Mirror Top. French Work.

This rectangular coffee table features a brass structure with tapered and fluted legs, topped with seed-shaped finials and finished with turned feet. The aged mirror top, with a deep backing, is set in a molded frame; an elegant X-shaped stretcher, centered with a circular rosette, ensures the stability of the whole while adding rhythm to the base. This neoclassical design—characterized by taut lines, fluting, and patinated brass—is typical of the productions of Maison Jansen, the renowned Parisian decoration house founded in 1880, supplier to royal courts and the most prestigious interiors. Its brass and mirror coffee tables are among the most sought after on the market. Condition report: Overall good condition. Brass with a homogeneous golden patina, original aged mirror may show probable pitting and micro-scratches inherent to its age, which contribute to its charm. A timeless piece that will stand out in front of a sofa, in both classic and contemporary living rooms.
