Technical sheet. * Period / Style: Art Nouveau, France (Paris), around 1900-1920. * Materials: Solid oak and oak veneer (back and internal structure in oak). New bevelled mirror. Original workshop marks in pencil "Gaultier / oak panel for the top". Brass locks stamped "BREVETE PARIS". * Finish: Traditional shellac varnish. * Dimensions: Width 205 cm|Height 243 cm|Depth 56.5 cm. Description and condition. Large Art Nouveau linen cupboard with a tripartite stepped structure. The raised central section features a curved door with a bevelled mirror, crowned with a sculpted pediment with floral decoration. The two side modules have false fronts simulating drawers (trompe-l'œil) to maintain visual harmony, opening onto storage niches. Originally designed exclusively for linen, this piece does not have a hanging rail but a system of adjustable oak shelves on original wooden brackets. Base on curved feet. The piece has been fully restored in cabinetmaking. The structure is perfectly sound, rigid, and clean. The shellac varnish protects and highlights the grain of the oak. Locks and closures are functional, supplied with a brass key. For logistical reasons, the cupboard is fully dismountable into three distinct sections (left, central, and right body), facilitating delivery and installation. Not used since restoration.
