Antique Art Nouveau wardrobe in ash and maple, Italy, 20th century

Liberty wardrobe in ash and maple, attributed to the famous designer Ernesto Basile and produced by the Grandi Magazzini Emporio Roma of Palermo in the early 20th century. The façade is skillfully divided, featuring an elegant bevelled mirror door on the left side, while the right side houses seven drawers, the first two being smaller and side by side, topped with a pair of bevelled glass doors. The structure is embellished with refined painted floral decorations, highlighting the distinctive character of the piece. The sculpted and pierced cornice adds an extra touch of craftsmanship, making this wardrobe a representative example of the Italian Liberty style.
