Characterful Vintage Buddha Statue Kneeling Wooden Buddha 44cm

Solid wooden statue of a kneeling buddha, presumably from indonesia, with import lead. Second half of the 20th century. The buddha wears a red-colored crown, the hair in a bun (so-called ushinaya), and a green and red traditional robe, beautifully decorated with colored pieces of glass. The buddha is in a kneeling position with eyes open, a smiling face and hands in front of him. Buddha statue full of character, made from 1 piece of solid wood, a beautiful age-related patina and weathered craquelure paint on the face and arms, beautifully colorful and fairly rare statue. In good vintage condition, with some signs of wear and age, the thumb of the left hand is missing, some chips at the crown and at the base of the statue, but nothing disturbing, check the photos for more details!
