Globe floor lamp mid-century space age

Vintage design. Rare floor lamp from the Space Age with an adjustable height globe. A small but impressive object. A luminous globe on a pole. The large diffusing globe can move up and down along the light shaft. The two hemispheres are made of a translucent plastic resembling fibreglass with a slight ringed texture on the outside. The halves are separated by a narrow gap. The upper hemisphere is held by three spaced round chrome buttons. The simple flat base and shaft are made of chrome.
