Rare. Set of 2 large flat plates (diameter 26 cm) Florentina from the W.A.A. & Co manufacture (William Alsager Adderley & Co, Stoke-on-Trent, England), in ironstone. Late 19th century (the sailing ship stamp is generally dated between 1876-1885) Marked on the back with the manufacturer's stamp (sailing ship motif with the mention "Florentina - W.A.A. & Co"). Cream-coloured background with a scalloped edge enhanced by delicate raised arabesques. A central floral decoration and a wide asymmetrical sepia/pink/green frieze painted by hand. Very good condition considering their age. Each plate has a slight unique patina. Several plates available and other pieces from the service.
