Pair of deep plates Hte Boulenger & Cie Choisy-le-Roi, circa 1885–1900.

A pair of antique deep plates in ironstone by Hy Boulenger & Cie – Choisy-le-Roi, with Pompadour decoration, showcasing the typical elegance of major French productions from the late 19th century. The blue printed decoration on an ivory background features delicate floral garlands intertwined with rococo cartouches containing landscape scenes, in a refined and balanced decorative spirit. The alternating decorations create a beautiful visual reading. Stamped: manufacture Hippolyte Boulenger & Cie in Choisy-le-Roi, circa 1885-1900. In good vintage condition, with micro scratches from use and age, a patina of time, slight marks and natural cracks in the glaze visible in places, and a hairline crack on one of the two plates (see photos). Diameter 23 cm, height 3 cm. An antique duo where the deep blue of the decoration creates a soft presence and a visual rhythm full of character.
