Scandinavian wall light from the 60s

Uno & Östen Kristiansson wall lamp for LUXUS in teak and black metal. 1960s. Very good condition, some signs of use. Around 1966, Östen took over his father's workshop and renamed it Östen Kristiansson AB. He eventually renamed the company Vittsjo again. LUXUS specialized in the manufacture of high-quality wooden lamps and furniture. Their work was often characterized by the artful use of bentwood and other natural materials, as well as organic, elegant forms. Their work was presented at design exhibitions worldwide and received numerous prestigious awards. LUXUS closed in the 1970s, but the furniture and lamps they created are still highly valued by collectors and lovers of modern design.
