Diana armchair by Karin Mobring, 1972

Pioneer of Scandinavian design, Karin Mobring (1932-2005) designed the Diana armchair in 1972 for Ikea, where she worked as the head of the Design department from 1964 to 1993. The structure of Diana was based on the idea of the removable safari chairs popularised by the Danish Kaare Klint as home furniture in the 1930s.
