Diana Safari Chairs by Karin Mobring for Ikea, 1970s

The 'Diana' safari chair was designed by Karin Mobring for IKEA in Sweden during the early 1970s. This chair is from the early production. Scandinavian Pine frame, cotton canvas extra padded seat & backrest attached by leather straps. This model was inspired by a British officer's safari chair but in a modern version with its architectural geometric frame which gives it a very light design. In a good vintage condition consistent with age. Minor wear and some dicoloration on the canvas. Width 67.5 cm. Depth 60 cm. Height 70 cm. Seat Height 38 cm.
