Original work in acrylic on paper, constructed like a fragmented space of intersecting lines and planes, reminiscent of the architectural and labyrinthine compositions of Maria Elena Vieira da Silva. The network of fine lines evokes structures, frameworks, or urban perspectives seen in fragments, never settling into a single interpretation; the space both constructs and eludes. A flock of stylised birds traverses the upper part of the composition, introducing an escape and an upward movement that contrasts with the density of the line network below. Touches of blue and aquamarine, applied transparently, soften the rigour of the lines and add depth to this imaginary architecture, in a palette close to the chromatic explorations of the Portuguese artist.
