Sideboard and Matching Decorative Art Piece from the Cruise Liner "SS Rotterdam"

This is a unique ensemble of storage piece with its matching signed art piece that is meant to hang above it. This originates from the captain’s cabin of the vessel ss rotterdam, which came into operation in the year 1958 as a cruise liner between rotterdam and new york city. The storage piece has 3 drawers and shelving compartments, the interior is beech wood, the exterior is mahogany. The top of the sideboard consists of a beautifully patterned crème white formica veneer. The art piece is showing trees and birds in beautiful blue tones and is lit by 4 neon tubes on the sides.
