Buffet/credenza in Louis XVI style, probably made in the 20th century in the neoclassical tradition. It is made of mahogany and mahogany veneer with a warm reddish-brown finish and wood inlays as decoration. The front is typically divided into sections, with two drawers above matching cupboard doors. It rests on two tapered front legs, topped with decorative brass sabots, and two block wood back legs. It is decorated with brass or gilded bronze mounts (ormolu), including circular or drop-shaped handles, escutcheons (keyhole covers), and delicate bead and frame mouldings around the door panels. The doors function well with keys but show slight warping due to age. This can be seen when the doors are closed (visible in the photos). The top is a wooden panel with a black marble insert. There is a slight chip on the edge (visible in the photos). In good condition with patina and minimal signs of use corresponding to its age (natural cracks in the wood…) Please check the photos carefully. It has moth holes. Dimensions: width 160 cm x height 97 cm x depth 57 cm. Made in Italy. Period: 1930s/1940s.
