Sculptural lounge sofa by Carlo Bartoli, Italy 1970s

Striking Italian lounge chair, by Carlo Bartoli, from the 1970s, part of the same set as the matching three-seater sofa. The frame is made of black lacquered wood with strong lines and integrated side shelves. The wide, low proportions and generous cushions give it a grounded, yet inviting presence. The cushions are upholstered in the original yellow fabric with a white floral pattern. A bold and playful contrast to the solid black frame.
