"Rocket" floor lamp in wood, brass, and fibres, circa 1960.

"Rocket" model floor lamp made around 1960. The light fixture consists of a cylindrical diffuser made of woven plant fibres, held and encased in a wooden tripod base. The upper part is extended by a sculpted circular handle, characteristic of this model. The slenderness of the base and the verticality of the diffuser give the lamp a very elongated silhouette. The woven material filters the light and produces a soft, warm illumination, typical of decorative lighting from the mid-20th century.
