Jacob Desmalter mahogany and mahogany veneer gueridon table with a tilting top, Empire/Consulate period. It rests on four legs ending in casters. 19th century. Stamped IACOB Georges-Alphonse Jacob, known as Jacob-Desmalter (1799-1870). A highly talented piece, a student of Percier, he meticulously and conscientiously designed his creations, paying particular attention to their ornamental decoration. Dimensions. Height 80.5 cm.
