Italian marquetry side table

19th-century Neapolitan Sorento table of Italian manufacture with refined marquetry. The rectangular top is adorned with a floral motif and a scene depicting a bird. A showcase of beautifully mixed wood species, this marquetry table combines cherry, walnut, walnut burl, elm, oak, as well as blackened pear, sycamore, mahogany, lemon, amaranth, and rosewood. The turned and sculpted base features a central trunk branching out into four curved legs. In overall good condition, with slight signs of use consistent with its age.
