Antique Pair of Column Candlesticks in Blue and White Delftware

Period: c. Early 20th century. A pair of tin-glazed earthenware candlesticks from Delft. The candlesticks are shaped like Corinthian columns and are decorated in the typical blue and white style of Dutch Delftware. The detailed patterns are mainly floral and beautifully executed. The bases are marked. These show some production defects (an indication of age in itself) as well as signs of age and are probably from the early 20th century, if not older. Condition: good. In fine antique condition with some signs of age in the form of small chips to the glaze, especially on the tops. Dimensions: 25 cm high, 10.5 x 10.5 cm base.
