This exceptional piece bears both the Howard & Son’s label and a stamped mark inside the drawer. The press is configured with four sliding drawers above for linen storage and six larger drawers below, all finely constructed with the quality associated with Howard & Son’s, regarded as the finest seating and cabinet maker in history. Maker: Howard & Son’s, Berners Street, London. Period: ca. 1880–1900. Design: Based on early Georgian examples. Material: 100% light oak hardwood with a beautiful patina.
