Rare and elegant small guéridon from the 19th century resting on three columns and a tripod base. The base is stamped with a crowned salamander, an ancient mark that adds character and authenticity to this lovely piece. This piece is attributed to André-Lucien Mailfert, a famous forger from the early 20th century, known for his copies of antique furniture that are now sought after and have their own value in the market. Beautiful simplicity of lines and balanced proportions. Ideal as a side table, pedestal, or small occasional table. Very good original condition.
