Mahogany gueridon stamped Malfert – erotic furniture – curiosity

Mahogany guéridon stamped Malfert – erotic furniture – circa 1900. Rare mahogany guéridon bearing the stamp of Malfert, famous for its creations and pastiches of antique furniture in the early 20th century. A unique piece with a strong character, emblematic of so-called brothel furniture. It is distinguished by its sculpted base in the shape of a feminine leg, a bold and evocative motif typical of erotic furniture from this era. The sculptural work, precise and expressive, highlights the richness of the mahogany and gives the whole piece a strong decorative presence. As much an object of curiosity as a collector's item, this guéridon embodies a particular craftsmanship and an atypical aspect of furniture history. Very good overall condition. A repair has been made on an edge (table contour over 15 cm). Dimensions: • Height: 69 cm. • Diameter: 61 cm. Weight: 5 kg. Further information and photos available upon request.
