Art déco decanter from the Józefina glassworks from the 1930s, made of heavy, cut crystal in a warm, honey-orange shade. Its octagonal body and geometric lines clearly reflect the inspirations of the era, when design was combined with precision, harmony, and symmetry. The vessel's surface is smooth, transparent, and finished to a high gloss, allowing light to refract freely on the faceted walls. The stopper is cut in a similar, multi-faceted style. The cut patterns and edges have been masterfully crafted, confirming the high production quality characteristic of Polish glassworks from the interwar period. Condition is very good – the glass remains clear, without chips or scratches, and all elements, including the stopper, are authentic and period-correct. The form of this decanter evokes the energy of the 1930s, when the art déco style sought to reconcile luxury with geometric discipline. Its colour suggests an optimistic desire for light, characteristic of pre-war modernism, when the fullness of colour resulted both from a longing for beauty and practical considerations. It can be imagined on a dressing table or in an office – a silent witness to elegant rituals, always 'knowing' how to reflect the warmth of the setting sun on its gleaming glass. Every reflection and every cut line commands respect for the craftsmanship that turned industrial form into a lasting, yet intentional, work. The decanter can be paired with natural wood, matte ceramics, or glass in cooler shades, creating a balanced composition on a classic bedroom console or a living room sideboard. Interiors in a modernist or collector's art déco style will allow it to fully develop its visual qualities – it is worth placing it against a matte plaster background, among smooth, simple forms, or conversely – in an eclectic arrangement, it will emphasise its expressive rhythm and colour in contrast to darker, velvety textiles or period metal.
