A crystal carafe from the 1930s, made by the renowned Moser glassworks in Karlovy Vary, is an example of refined craftsmanship from the Art Deco era in Central Europe. The body is made of thick, high-quality crystal in a saturated amber colour. The surface is intricately crafted – faceted, geometric walls taper towards the base, and the clear form plays with light and shadow. The tightly fitted stopper repeats the motif of angles and planes, and the shoulders feature subtly stepped rings, characteristic of the 1930s aesthetic. The carafe is marked with the manufacturer's signature; it is in excellent collector's condition with no cracks or chips, only a few minor signs of ageing visible inside the glass. Preserved in very good, original condition, with no modern interventions. This piece evokes the spirit of the 1930s: a time of intense expression of form and a love of light as the main actor. The geometric facets and steps reflect the fascination with the Art Deco movement, where luxury was expressed through proportions, and every detail had its own rhythm. When the amber crystal fills with light, the carafe seems to freeze the shimmering energy of old salons – a world where everyday life was subject to a discreet play of light and symmetry. This item is best displayed on a low console or dark wood sideboard, against a matte wall, where the play of light will highlight its crystalline form. The carafe can be combined with other glass objects – cubist vases or simple glasses – creating a compact, eclectic composition in the spirit of Art Deco or in a collector's interior with mid-century elements. It pairs well with brass accents or graphite ceramics, which will bring out the warmth of the amber and emphasise the vessel's distinctive profile.
