Musical table in the Sorrento style

Magnificent small triangular side table in precious wood marquetry, originating from Italy (handcrafted in Sorrento). It is a musical table: the mechanism activates automatically when the lid is opened. The top opens to reveal a storage compartment (ideal for jewellery, sewing, or small secrets). In generally good condition, well-preserved varnish, the opening mechanism is fragile. Marquetry with floral and arabesque patterns on the top and sides. Slim and elegant legs, very lightweight structure, easy to place in a living room or bedroom.
