A stunning 19th-century Louis Philippe center table from Northern Italy (Sorrento), crafted from walnut and featuring an exquisite parquetry top. The table showcases intricate inlaid decoration with a central elaborate parquetry star, surrounded by triangular inlaid bands and a checked string inlay edge. This classic piece is ideal for a grand entrance or as a centerpiece in any interior. It retains its original patina and has a rich history. Provenance: The table belonged to August and Gabriella Fröderström's home since 1845. In 1929, the original center tripod leg was replaced with four legs in keeping with the style by Harald and Lalla Fröderström. Harald August Fröderström was a renowned Swedish psychiatrist. Condition: The table has a few stable age cracks on the top, consistent with its age and use. The replacement legs were added in 1929. Please refer to the photos for details.
