Cone Chair Model VP 01 Type C by Verner Panton for Polythema, 1990s

This special edition VP 01 Type C of the Cone Chair was designed by Verner Panton for Polythema in 1993. It is a rare find and was Verner Panton's own reinterpretation of his iconic cone chair. Panton kept the seat cushion in fabric and replaced all other parts of the original cone chair. He chose acrylic glass featuring a graphic pattern of black lines. He also re-designed the chrome-plated base. With the VP 01 Panton created a sculptural chair which is actually a piece of art. This exceptional piece of collectible design is in very good original condition with only minimal traces of use.
