Antique Fireplace Trumeau in Louis XV Style - Gallant / Pastoral Scene at the

Elegant and large fireplace trumeau from the 19th or early 20th century, in the Louis XV style. The central part features a charming painting of a pastoral or gallant scene (in the spirit of the works of François Boucher or Jean-Antoine Watteau), depicting a shepherdess and her musician companions surrounded by their flock of sheep in a bucolic landscape. The canvas is enhanced by a beautiful carved frame in gilded wood. The whole is integrated into a large cream-coloured wood panel topped with a cornice. Ideal for adding character, charm, and a classic touch above a fireplace or a large piece of furniture. Condition as seen in photos (slight signs of wear that attest to its age).
