Oil on panel attributed to Jean-Baptiste Marie Fouque, depicting a scene of a stroll in a garden. The composition features a woman accompanied by a child, set in a tranquil landscape. On the right, a fruit seller adds an element of everyday life to the scene. Jean-Baptiste Marie Fouque was a French artist of the 19th century, known for his connections with the sculptor James Pradier and for the official commissions he received from the State. One of his works, a full-length portrait of Empress Eugénie, is housed in the Musée d'Orsay. The painting titled Stroll in the Garden measures 36.5 × 32 cm including the frame.
