Table and chair - Willy Van Der Meeren, Belgium - 1950

Set of two pieces by Belgian designer Willy Van Der Meeren, consisting of a T1 table and a chair published by Tubax. The table features an asymmetrical top paired with a slender metal base. The top has been redone in solid wood in the 1970s. The chair has a rounded wooden seat and backrest, on a light-colored tubular metal frame. The contrast between the warmth of the wood and the delicacy of the metal structures gives the set a light silhouette, making it well-suited for a desk corner. The chair shows signs of use on the seat and backrest, as well as paint wear and traces of oxidation on the base, visible in the photos. Table dimensions: Height 67 cm · Top 116 × 75 cm We have 2 other identical tables and many other Willy Van Der Meeren chairs available.
