Vintage table lamp Ingo Maurer opal glass Design M ML1 1960s

This table lamp from the 1960s was designed by the German designer Ingo Maurer for Design M. Maurer was known for his free and poetic approach to lighting design. In his work, technique, material, and atmosphere come together to create objects that are both functional and expressive. The base of the lamp is made of mouth-blown opal glass. The glass has a soft organic shape. From a wide base, the form narrows inward and then opens up again at the top. This flowing line gives the lamp a calm and balanced appearance. On top of the glass base is the original chrome-plated metal fitting with screw ring, which secures the lampshade. The shade has a subtle pattern with vertical lines in various warm natural tones. The textile provides a soft and even light. The cord runs through an opening in the glass base and is equipped with a switch. In our workshop, the lamp has been carefully cleaned and checked. The glass is in very good condition and the lamp comes complete with the original shade. The lamp can be used immediately.
