Kaiser Leuchten Bubble ceramic table lamp, Germany 1960

Characterful vintage Bubble table lamp by Kaiser Leuchten, made of glazed ceramic and produced in Germany, circa 1960. The sculptural lamp base consists of three stacked spherical elements, a characteristic design from the ceramic Bubble series by Kaiser Leuchten. The warm ochre and brown coloured glaze is combined with speckled, almost lava-like nuances. The variation in the glaze gives each sphere its own pattern, creating a particularly lively surface. The lamp is in very neat vintage condition. The ceramic is well preserved and the glaze still has a beautiful deep shine. There is one small damage to the glaze/ceramic on the top sphere; this is clearly photographed and hardly detracts from the overall appearance. The lamp has been rewired and fitted with a new socket, so the electrical components are neat and reliable again.
