Summary: Large Biedermeier wall mirror from South Germany, circa 1820. Neoclassical lines with a decorative frieze and modest cornice. Features: Cherry-veneered surround with solid cherry elements and applied brass mounts. Brass ornamentation includes a central roundel and decorative motif of two winged lions playing a harp. Gilded egg-bar detail along the cornice finished in old gold. Origin & Era: South Germany, early 19th century — Biedermeier / Neoclassical period. Materials & Finish: Cherry veneer on softwood with solid cherry components, brass mounts and mirrored glass.
