Superb 1970s coffee table in black lacquered wood, featuring a brushed metal top with beveled corners. Its stepped structure creates a distinctive "staircase" effect, typical of the modernist design of this period. A central compartment serves as a built-in bar (to hold bottles and accessories), planter, or presentation space. Indeed, its previous owner added a removable green background, as well as a plexiglass plate (see the last photos). This model is commonly attributed to Willy Rizzo, a major figure in Italian design, known for his creations combining architectural lines and metallic finishes. A rare and decorative piece, perfect for a vintage or contemporary interior. Two small traces of use to note (see detailed photos): a slight crack in the top (no detachment) and a small jump on one of the edges (which we can hide on request, using a little silver paint). Note that the only other similar coffee table on the site is priced at €2, 600. Please do not hesitate to ask us any questions you may have.
