Large Rimini Blue Vintage Vase Italy - Bitossi - Aldo Londi 31 cm

Large cylindrical vase from the famous Rimini Blu series, designed by Aldo Londi for the Bitossi factory in Montelupo Fiorentino. An emblematic piece of mid-century Italian ceramic design, it stands out for its deep turquoise blue glaze with green and ultramarine hues, applied with a brush in broad horizontal strokes that hint at the movement of the hand. The decoration consists of hand-stamped friezes: dots, quadrilobes, check patterns, diamonds, and crosses, alternating along the entire height of the vase like a woven textile. The glaze concentrates in the recesses, highlighting each motif in midnight blue. Each piece is unique, with variations in colour and print being part of the charm of the series. With a clean and graphic silhouette, it is ideal on its own on a console or shelf, or with dried branches, olive twigs, or a few stems. Marking. Reference and "Italy" hand-painted under the base, model number 43130/826. Dimensions. Height: 31 cm – Diameter: 16 cm. Condition. Very good vintage condition. No chips or cracks on the body of the vase. A few small areas of missing glaze under the base and normal wear on the unglazed foot, consistent with age and use.
