The Indispensabili stool is an iconic creation by Philippe Starck from 1989. Designed for the Présence Paris collection (L'Oréal), it was conceived to combine professional ergonomics with radical aesthetics. This piece has now entered the permanent collections of prestigious museums such as the Centre Pompidou. A true functional sculpture, this stool is distinguished by its "pleated" conical base, giving it a unique futuristic look. Structure: Conical base made of rigid polyurethane (high-resistance plastic) in anthracite grey / matte black. Seat: Ergonomic curved shape, rotating 360°. Adjustment: Equipped with a chrome steel rod and a side lever for height adjustment (gas lift). Mobility: Fitted with wheels concealed under the base for smooth movement. In very good vintage condition. The height adjustment mechanism and rotation work perfectly. There are some light signs of use on the plastic consistent with its age (1989), which attest to its authenticity. Dimensions: Adjustable height: approximately 50 cm to 75 cm. Base diameter: 40 cm. No designer stamp (typical of this model), authenticity through unique design. Sold in pairs. These stools perfectly complement the set of 4 "Techno" chairs also available in my shop for a complete and coherent Starck ensemble.
