Rare set of 4 "Techno" armchairs – Philippe Starck for Maletti / L'Oréal,

An iconic piece of post-modern design, the "Techno" chair was designed by Philippe Starck in 1989 exclusively for L'Oréal's Présence Paris range. Edited by the famous Italian house Maletti, this model was initially intended for prestigious hair salons before becoming a sought-after collector's item for private interiors and offices. It features a 360° swivel base made of injected aluminium (with a textured grey metal finish). The seat is upholstered in original black faux leather. The overall condition is very good vintage. The aluminium structure is sound, with no major oxidation. The swivel mechanism works perfectly. Some backs show minor signs of wear over time (see photos), and one of the seats has a small tear (see photo). Dimensions: Height: approx. 85 cm. Width: approx. 50 cm. Depth: approx. 55 cm. No designer stamp (typical of this model), authenticity is confirmed by its unique design. I am also selling separately a pair of "Indispensabili" stools by the same designer (Philippe Starck for L'Oréal), which perfectly match this lot to create a cohesive office or studio set.
